DoortoDoor

The leaves are starting to change, YOU have your collection of cozy sweaters out and Thanksgiving and Halloween are just around the corner. Fall is here!

October is another busy month at the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. In a few weeks we will host our annual Provincial Conference and today we launch our Door to Door campaign.

Throughout the month of October, dedicated volunteers across the province will canvass in support of families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

“A lot of our volunteers have been involved in the Door to Door campaign for many years and we are so appreciative of the time they put into it,” says Dawn, the Coordinator of the campaign. “We are also very grateful for our presenting sponsor, Medavie Blue Cross who continues to support this initiative.”

This month, when an Alzheimer Society volunteer knocks on your door, please consider giving a donation. There are many families living with dementia in our community and YOU can help them by donating to this campaign.

Today is also the launch of the United Way and Health Partners campaign. Do YOU give to a charity through your workplace? YOU can. Please consider choosing the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia  as your charity this year. All YOU need is the desire to give back to your community and our charitable registration number, which is 10670 5379 RR001.

We are still in need of canvassers for our Door to Door campaign, please call Dawn at 422-7961 ext 258 to get involved or for more information.
