Are YOU Ready for National Philanthropy Day?

In Uncategorized on November 13, 2012 at 2:56 pm

Over the past year at the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia (ASNS), we’ve been celebrating philanthropy and are fortunate enough to profile supporters from our community on our blog. Today we’re thanking a group that held their second fundraiser for us this year. On November 1, the Dalhousie Alzheimer Education Society held their second Zumba fundraiser in support of the Alzheimer Society.

It was a great turnout and what a workout we had! This Zumba fundraiser is a great way to practice better brain health and living a healthy lifestyle while raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you to the Dalhousie Alzheimer Education Society and to everyone who participated. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

National Philanthropy Day is almost here!

A very exciting day is coming up for fundraisers in Canada. This Thursday, November 15 is National Philanthropy Day. It’s time to celebrate YOU and your contributions over the past year. The staff at the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are very excited and we plan to celebrate YOU in our own unique way.

How are we celebrating YOU? This Thursday, discover #npdTELUS on Twitter and watch for facebook updates from the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia to see how we’re celebrating some of the philanthropists in our community.

Have YOU been involved in volunteering, giving, or telling others about the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia? YOU might be surprised this Thursday!

Stay tuned for a very special blog post next week that will capture ASNS’ philanthropic adventure.
