YOU the Special Event Fundraiser

For many people, when they sign up to attend a special event, like our Walk for Memories, they don’t immediately think of themselves as a fundraiser.

But they are.

Fundraising is about more (MUCH more) than the transaction of money handed from one person to another. It is about building and maintaining relationships. When YOU ask a co-worker to pledge YOU, YOU share your passion. I am sure YOU don’t take the money and never report back the however many kilometres YOU walked/ran/biked. No, YOU will follow up and tell the donor. Thus building a relationship! Because next year, that co-worker might pledge YOU more or even join YOU at the event.

There are other people who join a special event and take their fundraising to another level, by planning an event to raise funds for the special event.

This spring in Nova Scotia we have two such special event participants that are holding fundraisers to raise money for the event they are attending. And both happen to be exercise events (what’s good for the heart is good for the brain!)

If YOU are able to help a Special Events fundraiser (who doesn’t know that yes, they are fundraisers!) Please try to attend:
