Why Do YOU Fundraise?

In Uncategorized on March 6, 2012 at 6:22 pm

In the past few years we’ve seen natural disasters hit areas all over the world. Hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis have devastated parts of Japan, Haiti, Chile, Indonesia, and America. Most recently we’ve witnessed tornadoes rip through Southern parts of the United States.

In all of these horrific events people like YOU have reached out to lend a helping hand. But why do YOU, the fundraiser help?

Everyone may have their own reasons but when it comes down to it YOU help because YOU care.

When we think about our own province of Nova Scotia the faces of those YOU are helping may change, but does the reason why YOU help change?

Why do YOU get involved? Why do YOU donate your money? Why do YOU become a third party fundraiser?

Maybe a member of your family or a close friend has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Or maybe dementia has affected your own life in some way.

If YOU find yourself asking why YOU should become a fundraiser consider the thousands of individuals who are living with dementia that YOU can help provide with programs and services. Or the amount of Nova Scotian’s whose quality of life can be improved because of research funded by your donations.

YOU can provide support for those in need. YOU can help your neighbours, friends, family members and co-workers. YOU have the capability to help – so maybe it’s time for YOU to reflect on your own reason why.
