YOU the family fundraisers

There are many reasons to hold a fundraiser. For the Chisholm family, holding a fundraiser is an important way to remember their mother.

The family’s  mother passed away in June 2005 of Alzheimer’s disease and they have held a curling bonspiel in memory of her ever since.  For the past six years, Clarita Campbell (daughter) and the rest of the family have organized a successful bonspiel with support from their friends and  members of the community.

“It’s the perfect way to get the family together, remember mom and help make a difference by raising money in our community,” says Clarita Campbell. “We hope to continue this event for years to come.”

The curling bonspiel is held at the Highlander Curling Club in Antigonish every January. All funds raised are put towards research into finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

Thank you to the Chisholm family for continuing to raise important funds and  promoting better brain health in their community by being physically active.

If your family is interested in holding a fundraiser for the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia please let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
